Church of the Cross emphasizes discipleship at all ages, and so in addition to our youth and children’s ministries we offer diverse opportunities for adults to grow in Christ together. If you have any questions or would like to learn more about how you can participate in our various Adult Ministries, please contact our Pastor of Adult Ministries, Peter Berg.
“Life Groups” provide opportunities to share our lives with one another in friendship, prayer, and meaningful discussion along the themes of the sermon. They run September through December, and January through May.

Abide: Adult Confirmation
Confirmation is an important sacramental rite in Anglicanism, and is especially focused on encouraging and equipping Christians to abide in Christ and to serve the church and the world. Abide is our new process of confirmation for adults; those participating meet monthly in a cohort to learn, discuss, encourage and pray for each other. Classes and seminars are also offered as part of the process–these are open to everyone at Church of the Cross. Abide is a two-year process. For more information, please contact Peter Berg.
Often, special Adult Education classes are offered on Sunday mornings during the 10:45 am service. These classes cover a variety of topics, ranging from explaining our Anglican heritage, considering work and vocation, considering Christian themes in literature, and examining Scripture passages.
Watch the announcements for more detailed information about our next Adult Education offering.
Men’s and Women’s ministries function to provide gatherings for connection, fun, and mutual encouragement in our walks of faith.
Men’s Ministry holds events like meeting at a pub for drinks, food and conversation, bird hunting & BBQ outings, bike-rides, and of course the annual men’s retreat on the North Shore in early February. Contact Peter Berg with any questions.
Watch the announcements for Fall Men’s Ministry opportunities.
Women’s Ministry also hold events including wine and cheese nights, walks around a lake, breakfast gatherings, snow-shoe hikes, and an annual retreat near Stillwater, MN during the Fall. Contact Andene O’Neil with any questions.
