Welcome to Church of the Cross

We’re so glad you’re here!

No matter how we got connected, we want you to feel loved and valued in our community. We have several ways you can engage with our community. Here are the easiest ways to get started.

Introduction to Life & Ministry at Church of the Cross

Regular Worship Services | Sundays at 9am and 10:45am*

You are welcome to join one of our Sunday worship services. Although we offer online streaming options, we would love to welcome you into our beautiful sanctuary if you are able to visit in person

Each Sunday service includes our full Anglican liturgy: congregational response, Scripture readings, a sermon, prayers, sharing the Communion, and worship together. Our services last about 1 hour and 20 minutes each.

  • Children (9am - preschool to third grade; 10:45am - preschool to sixth grade) get dismissed during services to attend a class that’s right for their age group. The kids are welcomed back into the sanctuary to share in communion with the rest of the Church Body.

  • Youth (7-12 grade) participate in our whole service. Youth ministry happens on Sunday nights from 6:30-8:30pm. If you have a youth interested in joining, please email Peter.

If you’ve never been to an Anglican service, that’s okay! You don’t need to be familiar with Anglicanism or even traditional liturgy to participate in our services. We have everything you need to follow along inside our printed bulletins every Sunday. Make sure you grab one before taking a seat, or download our most recent bulletin online to follow along easily.

Learn what you can expect from one of our liturgical worship services.

Also, we would love to talk with you after service. Our clergy will be easy to spot in their vestments. We welcome you to stick around in the Welcome Area for coffee and rich conversations following either service.

(*Occasionally, during the year, we will switch to one service at 10am. This usually happens in the summer months and around certain holidays. Our most recent communications will notify you if this is one of those seasons.)

Newcomers’ Dinner

About quarterly throughout the year

You’re invited to Pastor Christian and Molly Ruch’s house for a home-cooked meal. This is a great way to get to know other newcomers and a few long-standing Cross members while asking questions about our church, community, and beliefs. Check out our event page to see if a Newcomers’ Dinner is coming soon on the calendar.

Discovering the Cross Class

Twice a year (Spring & Fall)

Discovering the Cross is our introduction to Church of the Cross. It teaches about our church’s mission and vision as well as our Anglican heritage.

This is an interactive class and gives lots of opportunities to ask questions. This class is the first step for anyone interested in becoming a confirmed member of Cross, but it’s also open to all who want to learn more about our community. You can check our event page to see if a Discovering the Cross Class is coming soon or contact Deacon Joel with questions about this event.

If you’re looking for other ways to get involved with our community, check out our Get Connected page.
