Supported Missionaries

We support the Great Commission through our missionaries across the globe, and there are several ways each of us can get involved with their Kingdom Building Work. Here are a few ideas:

  1. PRAY for them and the work they do for the Lord.

  2. SIGN UP for their newsletters, so you can stay updated on their current

  3. GIVE to their mission work directly.*

*Church of the Cross dedications a portion of its regular offering to our supported missionaries. However, if you would like to give directly to one of these missionaries, you’re very welcome to do so!

If you have questions about our missionaries, you’re welcome to reach out to Joel Bascom at missions@ofthecross.org. Otherwise, you can directly contact each missionary through their respective email.

Steve & Jodi Swanson

The Swansons serve in Tanzania to provide medical aid for newborns.

Steve’s daily work focuses on training Tanzanian physicians and nurses, both in neonatology and hospital pediatrics, along with seeing critically ill and preterm newborn babies, hospitalized children, infectious disease consults (children and adults), and clinic patients. Jodi partners with Steve to develop a program for the care and treatment of severely malnourished children. By working with the families, they seek to understand the reasons that the child has come to be malnourished so they might address it from all angles.
