After the summer off, we are ready to hit the books again. Come join us on October 12th as we kick off Cross Reads, our monthly book club. We will be reading Josef Pieper’s book In Tune with the World: A Theory of Festivity ($12, 105 pages). Through this book we hope to explore the meaning of festivity and ask ourselves the troubling question, “Is the joy of festivity possible in the modern world?” Regardless of how you answer the question now, we invite all to come and indulge in the festive gathering of a good book club. This month’s meeting will be on Zoom, but we hope to have in person meetings in the future.
