We Are The Church - Summer Series

A collaboration of Church of the Cross, Church of the Redeemer, and Restoration Anglican.

The church left the building in March.

We miss our sacred spaces. Even more, we miss gathering together. But we are still the Church. The church is not brick and mortar. It is a Body made up of many parts, established by God, commissioned by our Savior Jesus Christ, and equipped by the Spirit for the spreading of the gospel and the building up of the saints. The Church is you and I. It enfolds all nations. It is our children and youth now and their children to come.

Yes, we’re the Church together!

Values of the Church

While our congregations in the Diocese of the Upper Midwest are culturally distinct, our diocesan home is theologically aligned. Our values are modeled after the “Acts 2” Church. We are:

  1. Fully Scriptural

  2. Fully Sacramental

  3. Full of the Spirit

  4. Free to Sacrifice

  5. Focused on Salvation

Each week, from July 13 to August 23, one of these values will provide the basis for our learning, so we can go deeper together in understanding what it means to be the Church.

“WE ARE THE CHURCH” DEVOTIONAL

Our fellow Anglican churches in the Upper Midwest have collaborated to present a unified message on what it means to be the church. This message stands the test of truth, even amidst our shifting culture.

If you would like to follow along with our Sunday series, make sure to tune into our livestream video each week. You can also take your learning throughout the week by downloading and following along with our devotional guide. Although written for the parents, youth, and children of the church, this devotional has practical reading, prayers, and applications for anyone of any age. We encourage you to take a look and dive into the material!

Download the devotional.

If you would like a printed copy, feel free to visit the church to pick up one. If you would prefer to have one mailed to you, please email Annie (annie@ofthecross.org) to let her know.
